The Rock ranted about his 'Fast 8' co-stars; we spotted the 2018 Shelby GT500; and the 2018 BMW M4 made an appearance on public roads. It's the Week in Reverse, right here at Motor Authority.

The upcoming 2018 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has been spotted roaming the streets around Detroit. Spy video gives us a taste of what this beast will sound like when it hits the streets in production form.

Mercedes released a teaser image of what is clearly a 20-foot-long coupe with Maybach badges adorning its hood and C-pillars. The teaser talked about it being 6 meters of ultimate luxury, which, of course, is the mission of Mercedes-Maybachs. Expect a reveal at Monterey Car Week on Thursday August 18 at 5:30 pm local time.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson posted a rant to his Facebook fan page slamming his 'Fast 8' male co-stars. While he didn't name names, his name-calling included such unflattering words as "chicken shit" and "candy asses."

A prototype for an updated version of the BMW M4 has been spotted testing on public roads in southern Europe. Expect modifications from the M4 GTS model to trickle down to the refreshed standard M4, which should debut next year as a 2018 model.
