BMW is testing a new version of its M4 coupe at the Nürburgring. The vehicle could simply be a safety car for MotoGP’s next season, or it could be that we’re looking at a prototype for a hardcore version of the M4 possibly set to wear the GTS badge.

Audi’s CEO has confirmed that the brand with the four rings is looking at launching a full-size SUV. Such a vehicle is likely to be called the Q9 and target the likes of the upcoming BMW X7 as well as the Cadillac Escalade and Mercedes-Benz GL-Class.

New rumors of a mid-engine design for the next-generation Corvette ZR1 have emerged. We also hear that the mid-engine layout will also be used for the entire C8 Corvette family.

You’ll find all of these stories and more in today’s car news, right here at Motor Authority.
