We woke up this morning not knowing what to expect. It turns we had even less of an idea than we thought we did. Frenetic mayhem is the only phrase I can find to describe what went on inside the Camaro SS. But as crazy as it got, it was fun. The day started out well enough. Feeling good from our success at the track on Friday, we hit the road for our first batch of missions, and accomplished them smoothly, though we missed one 10-point bonus. At lunch, we felt like we had a pretty good handle on the day. Then things went a bit sideways. To save you the blow-by-blow, I'll go over the lessons...

Fireball Run: Day Three PreviewToday was a good day. Fun events, great people, and some awesome cars. Even though we've been at it since six o'clock this morning (it's closing in on 11 p.m. local as I write) we're looking forward to doing it all over again tomorrow. But instead of heading out to a track, we'll be hitting up our...

Over the past decade Infiniti has been carefully forging a performance image for itself, developing cars with class leading powertrains and dynamics. With the company recently announcing plans for an electric vehicle--something commonly seen as environmentally friendly and completely lacking in the performance department--that carefully formed image could be in jeopardy. However, while the new electric vehicle will share a platform and most of its components with the relatively mundane 2012 Nissan Leaf, Infiniti fans shouldn’t be worried as the vehicle should lend itself perfectly to...

First Drive: 2011 Volvo S60I've just threaded through a tightly banked turn called the Half Pipe, on the way toward another area called the Pucker Factor. And I'm behind the wheel of a VOLVO. 2011 KTM X-Bow R PreviewAs far as streetable open-track cars go, the KTM X-Bow is in a very exclusive class, kept company primarily by the Ariel Atom and the Lotus 2-Eleven. You know Juliette Lewis, right? Actress? Singer? A 50/50 cocktail of awesomeness and crazitude, served with a splash of bitters and sweat? THAT Juliette Lewis. The one you haven't heard from in a while. Well, she's about to make a very high-profile appearance next Tuesday night -- at a launch party for the Range Rover Evoque during the Paris Auto Show. We assume that she's performing -- you know, as a musician, not as an actor. It would be awfully weird to get up in front of a bunch of drunk Frenchmen and journalists and recite Ophelia's mad scene from Hamlet. Then again, let us not forget...

Spy Shots: 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLKThe current generation of the SLK roadster has served Mercedes-Benz well over its life since introduction in 2004, and like all cars its once-cutting-edge design has become somewhat tired despite a mid-cycle facelift. The 2010 SEMA show comes to Las Vegas at the end of October, but Hyundai's getting ahead of the aftermarket action by releasing these sketches of its Genesis Coupe, as re-envisioned by ARK Performance of South Korea. ARK's Genesis kit takes the basic 306-horsepower, 3.8-liter V-6 found in the Coupe and drills it out to 450 horsepower through Mahle pistons, Brian Crower connecting rods, an APG supercharger with intercooling, and ARK dual exhausts and a high-flow intake manifold.
