Yesterday we brought you news of McLaren's plan to parade the 2012 MP4-12C supercar through its North American dealerships to drum up interest, and today we have the official word on pricing. The newest McLaren supercar will start between $225,000 and $250,000. McLaren hasn't gotten more specific than that, though we suppose it's as close as necessary to gauge the car's competitiveness. The MP4-12C is already set to be a performance legend, with its twin-turbo 3.8-liter V-8 engine cranking out 600 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque. But will it be worth a small premium on the Ferrari 458...

George Michael And The GaolerSo, George Michael: Britain's death-wishy answer to Whitney Houston, Britney Spears, and Kevin Spacey. He's like the holiday turducken no one wants to eat. This photo says it all, right? We think it was taken the night that he crashed his Land Rover through the front window of a photo shop. (Side...

New Spray-on Film = Energy Harvesting WindowsThere's no doubt that solar energy has a bright future (pun FTW!), but collecting and using it has proven to be challenging. The panels traditionally required to absorb it are big and bulky, and so many of them are needed to produce a usable amount of electricity that they aren't practical in most...

We wish someone were making this up. Maybe then we could explain how so many examples of the still new 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia have been damaged in such a short space of time. If you haven’t been counting, the tally already stands at 10 in the past 9 months--not including one car that was destroyed when the warehouse it was sitting in burned to the ground. The curse of the 458 Italia continues today with yet another damaged car, this time an example engulfed in flames somewhere in China, bringing the tally up to 11. Depressing, disturbing, and just plain sad, the video starts with the car...

2012 Nissan GT-R Images LeakedThese images purport to be the first look at the 2012 Nissan GT-R as it gets ready for its 2011 rollout in Japan. The additions for 2012 appear to be solely cosmetic, though with the GT-R's already impressive performance, there's not much need for more speed. Starting at the front end, the...

The next generation of Hyundai's Equus, Genesis Sedan and Genesis Coupe will get all-wheel drive according to CEO John Krafcik, revealed at today's Equus drive event. The move is no doubt intended to put Hyundai on equal footing with its luxury rivals like BMW, Cadillac, and Audi, all of which offer all-wheel drive versions of their most popular sedans and coupes. It's perhaps unsurprising as well, with the rate at which Hyundai has been improving its vehicle lineup. From the Genesis to the Sonata and now the Equus, Hyundai is stepping up its game in every segment, building its brand into a...

Warning--this is not a joke. Less than a week after reporting about the ninth wrecked 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia (the first on U.S. soil), comes news of yet another damaged example, this time in the Czech Republic. While the damage on this latest car is not as severe as previous incidents, it is still the tenth 458 Italia to suffer a mishap in the past nine months--and remember that deliveries of the gorgeous supercar still number in the low hundreds. The car had less than 200 miles on the odometer when the accident occurred and had been in its owner’s possession for just six hours...
