Running a major automaker involves lots of hard work and plenty of long hours, but rank hath its privileges. In addition to the six-or-seven figure salary plus stock options, it’s pretty much a given that the CEO gets to pick any car (or really, any cars) from the company catalog to drive. We already know he’s got a black Ferrari Enzo (which may or may not have something to do with Fiat’s ownership of Ferrari) and once stacked a Ferrari 599 GTB to avoid rear-ending a driver in a Renault. As anyone...

Introduced in 1982, the Buick Regal Grand National began life as a special edition honoring Buick’s back-to-back titles in NASCAR’s Grand National series. Cars built for the 1982 model year were sprayed in Charcoal Gray with unique body graphics, and the standard engine was a somewhat anemic 4.1-liter V6, rated at just 125 horsepower. No Grand Nationals were built in 1983, but in 1984 the car returned with an all-new, take-no-prisoners focus. Black was now the chosen color, and power came from a turbocharged 3.8-liter V-6, good for 200 horsepower and a seriously impressive 300...

Classic Recreations Goes Topless With Its G.T. 500CR ConvertibleWhen it comes to exclusivity, plenty of cars can claim to be 1 of 500, or even 1 of 100. When it comes to muscle cars, one of the rarest and most desirable is the Ford Mustang Boss 429. Built for just two years (1969 and 1970), Wikipedia says that total production numbered just 1,356 units. Built for homologation purposes, so that Ford could use the 429 cubic-inch V-8 in its NASCAR efforts, the engine was too large to fit between the front fenders of a standard Mustang. Since production would require a significant amount of modification, the assembly was handed off to Kar Kraft in Brighton, Michigan. While unmolested Boss 429 Mustangs are a rare find in the United States...
