  • BMW M Laptimer app with GoPro integration

BMW says its M Laptimer app will now allow users to control a GoPro camera via the company's iDrive controller and infotainment screen. When users start up the M Laptimer, they'll also automatically activate their GoPro camera (as long as it is connected via an iOS device). Turning the M Laptimer app off will also deactivate the GoPro. The system will also record a low-resolution version of whatever the GoPro captures and store it on the users' iOS device in order to be played back next to the M Laptimer's map view screen. Users will also be able to turn their GoPro camera on and off remotely...

  • Strongman Magnus Samuelsson in stunt for Volvo Trucks

The world's strongest man is, as the accolade implies, a strong man. His name is Magnus Samuelsson and he's best known for reaching the World's Strongest Man finals 10 times—that's more than anyone else. Standing almost 7 feet tall, the Swede won the competition in 1998 and can dead lift 771 pounds. He's also a bit of a car buff, having raced in the 2010 Rally Sweden. As a result, Samuelsson seemed like a natural to help Volvo Trucks break a new record for the heaviest weight towed across 100 meters by a stock truck you can buy in a showroom (assuming you possess the proper commercial...

Hooligans block San Francisco's Bay Bridge

What's believed to be 50 motorists blocked traffic on California's busiest bridge Sunday evening so they could burn rubber in a rather unique setting. Of course, what they did is completely illegal and inconsiderate, as it blocked traffic for up to a mile, according to the San Francisco Chronicle...

Mercedes celebrates SLK's 20th birthday (with a name change)

Taking the stand for the first time 20 years ago at the Turin Motor Show with its folding metal hardtop was Mercedes-Benz's innovative SLK roadster. • Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport
    Bugatti recalls Veyron...three times

Bugatti has issued not one, but three recalls for its ultra-exotic Veyron. Given that a mere 450 Veyrons were built over the car's production span, tracking down owners won't exactly be a challenge for Volkswagen's high-end division. All three recalls are separate and will not apply to every...

  • New Ford GT

The order books are open for Ford Motor Company's [NYSE:F] reborn supercar, the GT, but getting on the list isn't quite as simple as walking down to your local showroom and picking out the options you want. With a list price beginning in the mid-$400,000s, the GT isn't for everyone. And Ford knows that. Among the initial questions asked on the application pages, found on the special website www.fordgt.com, are some designed to determine just how closely related the potential buyer is to Ford and its motorsports programs. For instance, the application asks if buyers have previously owned a GT...

  • 2016 Zotye SR8 - Image via Carscoops

A Chinese firm has so closely copied a Porsche Macan that it takes an especially keen eye to spot how they differ. Zotye Auto has developed a reputation for knocking off European crossovers and SUVs, but the company's new SR8 is undoubtedly its best effort yet. These latest photos, which follow up on some spy shots from last year, reveal the final SR8 (which has changed names from T700 over the last 12 months). And that's not really a compliment, especially if you're Porsche. The Chinese knockoff market is largely unregulated, meaning the SR8 will be available for consumers aiming for the...
