Over the past decade Infiniti has been carefully forging a performance image for itself, developing cars with class leading powertrains and dynamics. With the company recently announcing plans for an electric vehicle--something commonly seen as environmentally friendly and completely lacking in the performance department--that carefully formed image could be in jeopardy. However, while the new electric vehicle will share a platform and most of its components with the relatively mundane 2012 Nissan Leaf, Infiniti fans shouldn’t be worried as the vehicle should lend itself perfectly to...

If you've been hankering for an Infiniti G sedan but couldn't justify the brawny 328-horsepower 3.7-liter V-6, you've got a new option: the 2011 G25. On sale today, from a starting price of $30,950, the new 2.5-liter V-6 delivers lower cost of entry, better fuel economy, and, yes, a bit slower performance. The G25 should still provide a bit of fun, though, with 218 horsepower and 187 pound-feet of torque. We'll have to wait until we can get behind the wheel to find out. And at any rate, you still get the very fun-to-drive G sedan chassis. The real benefit is fuel economy, of course, but...

That's right, folks, if you're in the market for a new luxury car, you'd be doing yourself a disservice not to at least consider a 2010 model Mercedes-Benz, according to Bengt Halvorson's latest Frugal Shopper column at TheCarConnection. The brand-new but superceded 2010s are sliding off dealer lots for 10 percent off sticker on average, with the 2010 C-Class moving at 11 percent off. Those are some pretty deep discounts, and they raise a few questions for us. First off, why? Is Mercedes so backed up on 2010 inventory it's trying to dump everything it can to make room for the 2011s? Or is it...

As you've seen across the High Gear Media empire of automotive Web sites, we've spent some quality time with the 2011 Hyundai Equus. In fact, we've driven it once in what was clearly "not a first drive" and then a few months ago in South Korea. Now, we've had a shot at the final production Equus. The third time's definitely a charm, since the 2011 Equus has been tweaked to give it better handling, which in turn raises the stakes in the luxury bona-fides lottery. We'll spare you the details of all that we've covered in TheCarConnection's full review of the Equus--we'll be updating that review...
