Want a luxurious, well-equipped pickup that's more manageably sized than the mammoth F-150? We'd point you to this Ford Ranger Wildtrak just introduced at the Geneva Motor Show, but there's a major hitch: It's not going to be offered in the U.S. That said, if the price of gas rises, there might be a stronger argument for it, or for something like it. According to Jalopnik, Ford chairman Bill Ford Jr. has publicly stated that a turbocharged Mustang is on the way. Ford Jr. didn't get into specifics, but likely engine choices would either be a 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V-6 or a 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder. A turbocharged Mustang reminds us--and everyone else--of the late SVO that was offered in the early '80s. Whether Ford would use that name is unknown, but a modern SVO could be a fun fuel-sipper. Whether it's simple legal necessity, hold-over angst from the 1960s duel between Henry Ford II and Enzo Ferrari, or corporate jockeying between Ford and Ferrari's corporate parent, Fiat, which now owns a chunk of Chrysler, the fight over the F-150/F150 name may have come to a resolution: Ferrari has changed the name of its F1 car to "Ferrari F150th Italia," perhaps a better reflection of the car's name intent: the 150th anniversary of the reunification of Italy. Ford filed suit after sending a request to Ferrari for a name change days after the launch of this year's F1 race car. Ferrari...
