UPDATE: The 599 replacement has been revealed as the new Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. Click here for all the official details and images.

Ferrari’s replacement for the 599 GTB, called the F620 GT, will make its official public debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, but an observant reader of GTSpirit caught what appears to be a cell phone image of the car in transit.

We’ll have more details and images when Ferrari briefs the press next Wednesday, February 29th, but the shot gives a much clearer idea of what Ferrari’s new Grand Touring coupe will look like than earlier spy photographs or the pair of official teaser videos.

To be honest, the styling looks a bit busy to us. There are a lot of curves and angles, and not all of them appear to be living in harmony. The exaggerated character lines of the door, which run down from the front fender, don’t blend well into the oddly-oversized rear fender. To us, it looks like a back-alley interpretation of a Ferrari coupe.

That said, we suspect that its reported 740 horsepower will go a long way towards getting us beyond the car’s looks. Expect acceleration in the neighborhood of 3.0 seconds from 0-62 mph (100 km/h), and a top speed of around 211 mph (340 km/h).

We’ll update you next week, and again as part of our ongoing Geneva Motor Show coverage.
