• FCA Heritage Hub museum

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has a new home for its vintage Italian makes. The Heritage Hub, located within the historic Mirafiori plant in Italy has opened its doors. Inside, FCA houses the best from Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Abarth and Lancia. Total, there are 250 cars on display that FCA calls "historic gems" to the company. Some of the cars have never been shown to the public before. The complex also plays double duty as headquarters for FCA Heritage service and sales. Most of the public will be most interested in an educational tour of the museum, however. Each tour will take attendees through...

Jay Leno loves the analog nature of Lancia's 037 Stradale homologation special

Homologation is a wonderful thing. Without it, we wouldn't have some amazing street cars based on truly legendary racing vehicles. Think Ferrari 250 GTO, Ford RS200 Evolution or Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR. Another such car is the Lancia 037 Stradale, which is the road car variant of the iconic Italian...

  • New Stratos

Like something from another dimension, the Lancia Stratos' radical design still blows minds almost five decades after its introduction. The design was particularly inspiring to German billionaire Michael Stoschek who last decade commissioned Pininfarina to craft him a modern example based on the shortened platform of a Ferrari F430 Scuderia. The project, dubbed the New Stratos, was revealed to the world in 2010, and though it was originally envisioned as a one-off, overwhelming popularity soon led to a small production run being announced. However, Ferrari, likely seeing the New Stratos as...

Not just reviving the legend of the rally-bred, off-the-walls Lancia Stratos, the New Stratos breathes new life into the name. But it won't see production, at least beyond the extremely limited kind, because Ferrari won't consent to it. Why does Ferrari have a say in the matter? Because the New...
