The Lexus LF-LC is a rarity among modern auto show concepts: it's an actual concept. It's not intended to directly preview any production model, and it's certainly not a thinly-veiled production-ready car. It's also pretty daring in its details. And it's a hybrid. Beyond that, there's not a lot to know about the LF-LC. It's a two-door coupe, it looks sporty, and the combination of that look with a hybrid drivetrain might presage a legitimate entry into the sport-hybrid arena from Lexus, at least as an idea. But really, who cares if it does anything? It's an actual concept...

After a development program that saw the original plan for the new NSX scrapped, the project abandoned, then revived in its current form, the fact that Acura is showing the NSX Concept at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show at all is something of a miracle. The fact that it looks as good as it does--and reminds us so much of the original is just icing on the cake. The NSX that never came to fruition was a V-10-powered, front-engine, very expensive supercar of a different feather. Today at the Detroit Auto Show, Chevrolet has taken the wraps off a pair of small-car concepts, the Code 130R you see here and the Tru 140S, which you can read about here. Each takes a diametrically different look at what the future of a younger-market car might be. The Code 130R is the more exciting option for driving enthusiasts, packaging a four-seat coupe with rear-wheel drive. Power comes from a 150-horsepower turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed automatic or an optional six-speed manual transmission. An interesting addition to the Code 130R's mix is the...
