Hennessey has completed development of a round of upgrades for the 2014 Chevrolet SS, with power outputs on offer ranging from 475 all the way up to 1,000 horsepower. Featured in the video above is Hennessey’s tuned SS with 600 horsepower, made possible via the Texan tuner’s HPE600 package.

We recently saw the car hit 163 mph on a Texas toll road, and now we get to see it running down the drag strip. As the video shows, Hennessey’s HPE600 SS will run the quarter mile in just 11.84 seconds with a trap speed of 117 mph. The car was running on regular 93 octane fuel but was fitted with drag radial tires.

The HPE600 package features a custom supercharger and all the necessary fuel system and ECU modifications to make it run smoothly. Hennessey’s entry-level HPE475 package brings 475 horsepower to the table by way of intake and exhaust modifications.

At the other end of the spectrum, Hennessey’s HPE1000 package adds a custom twin-turbocharger setup, 7.0-liter LSX V-8 engine and a host of other modifications to help liberate 1,000 horsepower.

At this point, the stock 415-horsepower rating of the SS must be sounding a little feeble. However, as we found out during our first drive, the car is certainly no slouch.
