Like everything, it was only a matter of time before the new Bugatti Chiron hypercar was crashed, and now it's happened.

While it might feel like the Chiron has been around a while--that's what happened when we have concept car versions of production cars--it's actually still rather new. Customers just started taking delivery of their new toy a few months ago.

Brought to our attention by Motor1 and GTBoard, this Chiron must be rather new and by the looks of license plates the car resides somewhere in Europe.

Bild reached out to Bugatti for comment and spokeswoman Manuela Hohne said, “The driver was unfortunately a little inattentive, which is why the car landed in the road ditch. Fortunately nobody was hurt.”

Inattentive indeed.

Why is a forklift dragging this Chiron? Your guess is as good as ours, but it hurts our heart to even look at this photo.

All-wheel drive will help keep you on the road, sure, but 1,480 horsepower from a quad-turbocharged W-16 engine is clearly a lot to handle. Not only that, but you'll reach a good clip in the blink of an eye with 0-60 mph happening in just 2.5 seconds.

Here's hoping most of these hypercars stay shiny side up going forward.
