The Aston Martin Vantage GT12, Porsche 911 GT3 RS and McLaren 650S couldn’t be more different, yet they all have a common goal—and that’s to put down fast lap times. And according to Chris Harris, who recently pitted the three cars together, they also have similar asking prices, at least in the United Kingdom, so there is some method to the madness in his latest test.
The Porsche has the least power here, with its 4.0-liter flat-six ‘only’ developing 500 horsepower. The Aston Martin, which incidentally isn’t offered in the United States, ups the ante with 591 hp from its 6.0-liter V-12. And the McLaren, powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V-8, is in another league with its 641-hp rating.
