Yesterday MINI unveiled the 2012 MINI John Cooper Works Coupe Endurance (yes, the name is longer than the car), based on the brand-new 2012 MINI Coupe, and today, we have video of the car testing on track.

Upgraded from the standard 208-horsepower MINI JCW Coupe, the Endurance race car packs 250 ponies in its tiny 1.6-liter turbo four-cylinder. Peak torque hits 243 pound-feet in overboost, and it's good for more than 150 mph. But can it lay down the lap times when it counts? We'll find out this weekend.
