We’re willing to give autographs to anyone who wants one, but we’re not exactly the celebrity-stalker type ourselves. That’s not to say we don’t have our own rock stars, and when we recently ran into Magnus Walker at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, it was all we could do do stammer out, “Mr. Walker, we're huge fans of your work.” (Tip: he much prefers Magnus to Mr. Walker.)...

They also have to have been fitted with the standard exhaust system and not the sport setup. Chris Harris On Ice, Driving A Porsche 911: VideoAsk most people what the ideal car-themed vacation would be, and chances are good they won’t reply with “hustling a rear-drive, 250-horsepower, vintage Porsche 911 around a frozen lake, in Sweden, in the middle of winter.” The Porsche 911 isn’t the first car that comes to...

Let us just preface this video by saying that we support anyone who wants to learn how to drive their vehicle at the limit on a racetrack. Organizations like the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) give those new to track days the opportunity to learn in a safe and controlled environment, with an instructor riding shotgun to coach you. On the other hand, the worst thing we can think of is turning someone with limited performance driving experience loose, solo, on a Formula One track like Circuit of the Americas in a 523-horsepower, rear-wheel drive Porsche 911 GT2. There are so many key...

Porsche Shows What It Takes To Film A Modern Car Ad: VideoFilming a car commercial used to be a relatively easy task: all it took was the car, some pretty background scenery and a chase car, since the expectations of viewers watching on a low-resolution television set weren’t all that high. We’ve just come across a video that shows one of our favorite sports cars, the Porsche 911, in a whole new light. Dubbed Motionless Driving, the video, first picked up by World Car Fans, uses light projection to create the effect of a car driving through the countryside, in sunny, cold and wet conditions, despite it sitting idle inside a room. The video was filmed at a recent event organized by the Porsche Center Padova in the city of Padua, Italy. By draping the Porsche 911 in white, including on its wheels, the whole car becomes a projection screen. The idea behind the concept was to...
