January is usually dominated with news about the Detroit Auto Show but the month also plays host to the annual Tokyo Auto Salon, Japan’s equivalent to SEMA. This year’s event kicks off on the 15th of this month and will see Nissan unveil a total of nine exciting models.

Nissan, together with Japanese tuner Autech and its in-house performance division Nismo, will promoting a raft of new upgrades for cars like the GT-R supercar and new 370Z, as well as showcasing its transporter and hospitality cars used during it's participation in the domestic racing series.

The most exciting model is almost certainly set to up the Nismo Club Sports Package Custom for the 2010 Nissan GT-R. The package includes a new data logger kit designed for track use, as well as a range of suspension and handling mods.

Also on show will be a Nismo-enhanced 370Z and the Xanavi Nismo GT-R race car from the 2008 SUPER GT series. This race car, incidentally, took home the series' championship in its debut year.
