There’s usually nothing worth mentioning about a mobile phone but here’s one that will get the attention of most performance enthusiasts and luxury aficionados.
The new handset is the latest addition to the exclusive Tag Heuer Meridiist range and its design is said to be inspired by the power and grace of the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 supercar.
The mobile phone’s official name is Meridiist Automobili Lamborghini and it’s available now at select watch, jewellery and Lamborghini stores. Additionally, production will be limited to just 1,963 units--a tribute to the year Lamborghini was founded.
Housed in black titanium carbide coated stainless steel, the mobile phone is hand-assembled and composed of more than 400 mechanical components, many derived from Tag Heuer chronograph watches. The back of the device is engraved with its limited edition number while the minimalist black keyboard is customized with Lamborghini’s trademark Taurus bull on the steel central button.
The display is made from 60.5 carats scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and the battery life of the handset is a claimed seven hours talk time or 28 days standby power.
