There are many fun jobs out there.

One of them is, without a doubt, logging thousands of test miles in new vehicles. That goes double when those test miles take place at Germany's Nürburgring and you're behind the wheel of the upcoming 2018 Lexus LC 500. A YouTube user spotted the car running hot laps at the Green Hell, and he captured some great noises as the car went flying by.

What's making all of that noise? It's a 5.0-liter V-8 that's cranking out 471 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque. Since it is a performance Lexus, you can hear a good amount of intake noise as well, which has to sound even better when you're behind the wheel and pushing the throttle pedal to the floor.

Imagine what the F sub-brand will be able to do once it gets its wrenches on this one? A tuned-up LC F could be a wicked sports luxury beastie when let loose on a racetrack. It probably wouldn't be the fastest in its segment, but it would certainly be enjoyable. That's how it's been with the IS F, GS F, and RC F.

All those F models boast standout styling, make great noises, and provide a smile-invoking driving experience. They also manage to maintain a proper level of luxury inside as well. The LC 500 should be no different, and an LC F would be even better. For now, though, the LC 500 already sounds the part, and it looks like it can handle the rigors of the 'Ring, too.
