Earlier this week we were treated to the sight of the all-new, 650-hp 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 as it ran the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Then we got the performance stats to confirm a portion of its ability. Now we have this image of the Z06 crashed at Hatzenbach.
It can’t all be good news, after all.

With what appears to be a fair amount of oil dry on the ground, the front end definitely banged up, and a part of the car laying on the hood, this Z06 has clearly seen better days. Fortunately, it doesn’t look to be a total loss, so whatever development was ongoing should still be salvageable.
The driver—or at least what appears to be the driver—standing beside the car with his racing suit tied around his waist looks more than a bit chagrined, too, based on his body language.
Such are the risks of testing at the ‘Ring. Fortunately it looks like no one was hurt.
