There's been a lot of hype around Sebastien Loeb's record run, but here we have something that needs no hype, no music, no adornment. It's just pure, beautifully shot footage of Jeff Zwart's 2013 Pikes Peak hill climb run in his Porsche 911.
That 911 is no run-of-the-mill road car, either. It's a Carrera Cup car chassis with the 600-plus horsepower engine of the GT2 RS--both from cars he has previously raced up the Peak as well. In fact, this is Zwart's 10th different Porsche in 15 runnings since 1994.
Whatever the back story, however, the video stands on its own as a pure and stunning capture of the experience of a Pikes Peak run.
