Michael Bay, director of the upcoming Transformers 4 movie, has got the automotive world talking about a new Camaro concept destined to serve as the vehicle mode for the Autobot Bumblebee. Bay calls the Camaro a "2014 Concept Camaro" but the car’s styling doesn’t match that of the latest 2014 Chevrolet Camaro.

Could it be a preview of the next-generation, Alpha-based Camaro? After all, the 50th Anniversary Chevrolet Corvette Stingray concept that starred in the previous movie, 2011's Transformers 3 - Dark of the Moon, was a preview of the C7 Corvette Stingray going on sale this fall.

On the other hand, it could just be a slick movie prop designed to get people talking.

Hopefully we’ll know more by the time the Transformers 4 movie is released on June 27, 2014.
