After a stellar performance in the first season of the Discovery Channel’s Fast N’ Loud series, the crew from Gas Monkey Garage is back for another action-packed season, the first episode of which aired on Monday night.

For those unfamiliar with the series, Fast N’ Loud sees motor mastermind Richard Rawlings and his expert tinkerer, Aaron Kaufman, scour the country in search of hidden automotive treasures.

Of course, those treasures, mostly forgotten classics, usually start off as rusty old pieces of junk.

Rawlings is the man with the eye, the gift for seeing that rare find; while Kaufman is the master mechanic who decides whether or not these relics are too far gone or the perfect basis for an overhaul.

Once titles are traded, Rawlings and Kaufman start the laborious restoration back at their Gas Monkey Garage, located in Dallas, Texas.

Along with the cars, another highlight of the show is all the characters Rawlings and Kaufman encounter as they travel the back roads, search barns, visit swap meets and venture into open fields looking for that one rare ride to restore.

We love a good barn find here at Motor Authority and look forward to seeing what the Gas Monkey Garage crew unearths this season. We hear one of the cars could be a Ferrari, though we’ll have to wait and see how it all plays out.

Below is a bonus video featuring Rawlings' list out his own personal top five rides. We think you'll be quite surprised at which car came out on top.
