BMW debuted its new Brake Energy Regeneration technology when it first released its updated 5-series saloon back in January. The facelifted 1-series hatch followed soon after, it too featuring the fuel saving technology. German magazine Autobild is reporting that BMW may be working on a shooting brake version of its best-selling 3-series range. They’re claiming BMW will release such a model in 2008 and that it will be based on the 3-series coupe. Interestingly, their chop shows a new face for the 3-series, but we doubt the styling on the coupe will be changed after only two years. This rendering was shown on the cover of their latest issue, and we expect more details to be released soon.
