A tuning firm in Australia has shoehorned the engine of a Nissan GT-R into a Toyota 86. Not content with a standard GT-R engine, the mad tuners used a stroked 4.1-liter example capable of delivering upwards of 1,000 horsepower. They also decided to add a mean-looking wide-body kit from Japan's Rocket Bunny.
Caterham C120 concept
This little sports car is a concept of a new model British firm Caterham was developing in collaboration with Renault. The project was axed before Caterham ever showed the concept but this week we were treated with some images from the company hired to design it. Fortunately, Renault’s version of the car, likely to be called an Alpine AS1, is still going ahead.
2017 Lexus LC GT500 Super GT race car
The Lexus LC isn’t even on sale yet but it’s already spawned a motorsport variant. The new LC race car has been designed for Japanese touring car series Super GT and will be going up against similar race cars based on the Acura NSX and Nissan GT-R when it starts running next year.
Koenigsegg Agera RS
Koenigsegg isn’t known for its bling but this week the company unveiled a car detailed with diamonds and gold. It’s the first Agera RS bound for a customer in Europe, and it’s also the first Koenigsegg that features a carbon tub with the same tint as the exterior, in this case a dark blue.
MV Agusta F4Z concept
MV Agusta recently commissioned Zagato to design a custom motorcycle on behalf of a Japanese client. The result is the stunning F4Z which looks both futuristic and fast.

This week we got our hands on a new set of photos of the upcoming Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, courtesy of Motor Authority reader Martin Desormeaux. Chevy is thought to be reviving the nameplate at the 2017 Detroit auto show, and the car it will be attached to may end up as the last Corvette with an engine mounted in front of the cabin. Notice the new grille pattern in the intakes?
2017 Mercedes-AMG GLC43 Coupe
The 2016 Paris auto show is just around the corner and some of the new cars set to be unveiled are starting to surface online. One of these was the GLC43 Coupe. Like the similar GLC43, the GLC43 Coupe comes with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 good for 362 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque.
Citroën Cxperience concept, 2016 Paris auto show
Another Paris-bound car revealed this week was the Cxperience concept from French automaker Citroën. The car is a plug-in hybrid sedan that may just preview the design of the next-generation C5 mid-sizer.
