The top honors at the annual Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance is the Best of Show. This is the award that gets all the tongues wagging, the confetti flying, and the champagne popping. A truly gorgeous and old machine, as you might expect, took home the big trophy at this year's event, held over the weekend, and it's name is quite a long one so take a breath. The winning car is a 1924 Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8A with bodywork by Carrosserie Worblaufen.

The coachbuilder got its hands on the long-wheelbase car and decided to go the route of a cabriolet coupe. The massive hood flows back towards the rear-hinged doors and folding top. This Isotta runs on a 145-inch wheelbase. To put that in perspective for you, that's the same wheelbase as a 2015 Ford F-150 SuperCab with a 6.5-foot bed. It's a long car, and it's packing a whole lot of style over that length.

The car has had just four owners of the course of its life. Most of that time was spent in Europe before the Isotta landed Stateside in 2014. Just one year after earning its green card, it's become emperor of old cars. Last year, a 1954 Ferrari 375 MM Scaglietti Coupe had the honor.
