The project’s manager, Zach Massey, says the sinkhole has been filled by a series of “micropiles” and beams to support the floor should another sinkhole strike.

The restoration of the “Skydome” section of the museum where the sinkhole occurred continues now that the cement slab has been poured and covered in order to finish the building for the return of vehicle displays.

The NCM says the project is right on schedule, with everything to be buttoned up and hopefully ready for car displays again by July.
