A family of four took an unexpected journey recently when their minivan became extra cargo for one semi-truck driver. While driving at 2am in a snowstorm, the driver of the minivan crashed into the back of the truck and the family hauler got stuck there.

Amazingly, the driver of the truck didn't realize he'd been hit. Said truck driver also didn't realize the van was stuck there because the semi drove on for another 16 miles while dragging the van behind it, as Michigan news station WoodTV reports.

A passenger in the van called 911 for help. There was no alerting the driver from the van because it had lost its horn in the collision. Police eventually caught up to the semi, and the family was taken into a nearby hospital for examination. There were no injuries, and the family probably saw the best fuel economy that van has ever achieved.
