The Jets and the Patriots. Prost and Senna. Ford and GM. Fierce rivalries are everywhere, but for gamers there's an even bigger one: Forza Motorsport versus Gran Turismo.

Full details for Gran Turismo 6, the latest game in the series, have only just landed--and now we're getting our best look at the next Forza title, Forza Motorsport 5 for the XBox One. That small detail means Forza already has the upper hand, launching on a next-gen console while GT6 sticks with the PS3.

That does mean buying a whole new console if you haven't done already, but Forza 5  may well be worth the expense. As the video above shows, the game features almost unprecedented detail in the cars, circuits and environments, while the console's extra power should allow some pretty trick physics simulations too. Turn 10, the team behind Forza 5, has worked closely with tire testers and more to map the most accurate possible data for added realism.

Along with hundreds of the latest and greatest vehicles--from Formula One cars to city cars to pickup trucks--Forza 5 will also introduce circuits like Spa Francorchamps and the Laguna Seca raceway to the series, as well as other real-world locations and a host of original circuits.

If there's one more ace up Forza's sleeve, it's the availability of a certain new Ferrari hypercar. Gran Turismo might have the Enzo-based FXX, but XBox One gamers will be able to opt for a Ferrari car pack on the game's launch that will include the new LaFerrari. Eight other Ferraris will join it, with further details revealed on November 18.

Forza Motorsport 5 versus Gran Turismo 6--which side will you be joining?
