It’s not often that we get a detailed explanation on why elements on a car were designed a certain way, so it’s well worth watching the video through to the end. The CLA-Class is the only Mercedes compact currently offered in the U.S. It won’t be alone for long, however, as the German automaker plans to launch two more compacts next year: the B-Class Electric and GLA-Class. Overseas, buyers also have the option of an A-Class hatchback and eventually Mercedes will launch one more compact car, a CLA Shooting Brake. Unfortunately, this more practical CLA isn’t expected to reach these shores.
