If you’re in the market for a 2012 Audi R8, there are two limited-production models built just for the American market that are about to hit U.S. Audi dealers. Called “Exclusive Selection Editions,” Audi will produce just 20 examples powered by its 4.2-liter V-8, and only 30 examples powered by its 5.2-liter V-10.

Finished in Daytona Gray matte paint, the Exclusive Select Edition V8 boasts a carbon fiber splitter and diffuser; 19-inch titanium-finished wheels; black grille surround and exhaust finishers, red brake calipers and R8 GT tail lamps.

Inside, buyers get a unique leather package that includes Crimson Red trim and contrast stitching; a leather navigation system surround; a unique sport steering wheel and a Bang & Olufsen premium audio system. Opt for the manual transmission, and the limited-edition V8 will cost $137,700; if you prefer the R tronic transmission, the price will be $146,800.

If more power is what you crave, you’ll want the Exclusive Select Edition V10, which comes finished in Ibis White with Brilliant Black sideblades, mirrors and rear license plate surround. Other exterior styling touches include R8GT tail lamps and 19-inch two-tone e-tron wheels.

The cockpit of the V10 version gets black leather with Alabaster White contrast stitching; carbon fiber accents; a leather navigation surround and the same thicker sport steering wheel found in the V8 version. Pricing for the limited-edition V10 version is set at $161,500 for the six-speed manual, or at $170,600 for the R tronic transmission.

Neither R8 gets performance or handling upgrades, which means that the Exclusive Select Edition V8 puts out 430 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque, while the V-10 version gets by with 525 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque.

Look for Exclusive Selection Editions to hit Audi dealerships late this month.
