Nissan’s North American arm will be launching an onslaught of vehicles over the next several years. For the first time in the model’s history, the infamous GT-R will be sold in the U.S., being launched as a 2008 model and priced around the $60,000 mark. The new GT-R will likely be powered by a twin-turbo V6 displacing 3.7-litres with an output of at least 450 horsepower and will be sold alongside the next generation 350Z which will arrive in late 2009 or early 2010.

For the budget buyers, Nissan is releasing its B segment Versa, which promises more space than the Toyota Yaris and Honda Fit. The small hatch is powered by a 1.8-litre four developing 122hp and even comes with the option of a CVT gearbox. The funky look Cube may make an appearance to go head-to-head with the Scion xB and also makes use of a CVT.

Of particular interest is the announcement that Nissan plans to deliver its first fuel cell vehicle in either 2008 or 2009. Looks like the next couple of years will be very interesting for Nissan fans and auto enthusiasts alike.
