Mercedes-Benz SLC Class News
Mercedes-Benz boss Dieter Zetsche revealed to media during last month’s 2017 Geneva auto show that the automaker would be pruning back the number of specialty cars it currently offers, namely coupe and convertibles. Zetsche said Mercedes would continue to offer multiple specialty cars but not the number available today. Recall, the automaker has six convertibles in its lineup, a body style that performs poorly. According to a report out from Automobile, sitting at the top spot on the list of cars to be axed is the SLC (formerly the SLK). Sales in the United States average a little more...
2017 Mercedes-Benz SLC first drive review
Roadsters like the 2017 Mercedes-Benz SLC aren’t exactly in vogue right now. The Honda S2000 faded away a few years ago. According to a new report, when the SLC arrives, there won’t be a dedicated performance offering to replace the current SLK55 from Mercedes-AMG. Instead...Viknesh Vijayenthiran
The SLC450 is set to make a comeback, only this time around the famous badge will be affixed to a version of Mercedes-Benz’s entry-level sports car and not the SL-Class. We’re talking about the SLK, which will soon be rebranded an SLC as part of its mid-cycle update, an update that we’re expecting to include a new SLC450 AMG variant. The AMG sport cars, like the existing C450 AMG and GLE450 AMG Coupe, sit between the most potent standard model of the range and the dedicated Mercedes-AMG offering. The cars are developed by the Mercedes-AMG skunkworks but are officially...
