While plenty of pictures of the Mercedes-Benz Concept Style Coupe have been released, this video is the first we’ve seen of Daimler design head Gorden Wagener giving his thoughts on the car’s lines. The Concept Style Coupe (which will likely hit the market wearing the Mercedes-Benz CLA Name) takes its inspiration from the Mercedes-Benz CLS four-door coupe, but is scaled down to fit on the compact MFA platform. Like the CLS, the Concept Style Coupe has a shorted greenhouse and a high beltline, both of which will probably see production as is. We’re not sure if the front...

As a designer he didn’t follow fashion but was forever setting new trends with his concepts.” The Porsche 928, penned by Wolfgang Möbius under the direction of Anatole Lapine, was originally intended...

2013 MINI John Cooper Works Coupe GP Edition Spy ShotsWhile the MINI Cooper Coupe may not make a lot of logical sense (it offers the same performance, basically, with less space and functionality) it makes a definite emotional sense for many MINI fans, and some actually prefer its styling. The Beginner's Guide To NASCAR Racing: InfographicPerhaps it’s the sport’s blue-collar roots, or maybe it’s the fact that tracks are generally oval or tri-oval in shape, instead of laden with complex left and right corners. Maybe it’s the fact that (in recent years) the cars all looked more or less alike, or that they...

New Driving Simulator Developed With Ariel Motor CompanyThe problem with a track day terror like the Ariel Atom is this: it may be fun to flog around the nearest road course. but it isn’t much fun to drive on public roads to and from the track, especially if the weather is less than ideal. Then there’s the issue of tires to think about: if...

Nissan has announced that its insane Juke-R super-crossover will be built, but in a very limited run and on a build-to-order basis. The production version will stay true to the original concept, complete with a twin-turbocharged V-6 engine sourced from a GT-R supercar, advanced all-wheel drive system and top speed of 160 mph. One difference, however, is that the production Juke-R will use the more powerful 545-horsepower engine from the latest 2013 GT-R while the concept version used the previous 485-horsepower engine. Formula 1 is set to return to the U.S. for the first time since the decidedly lackluster 2007 U.S. Grand Prix at Indianapolis--provided the Circuit of the Americas and its facilities are ready in time. So far, after a stop-and-go start to construction last year, things are looking good in 2012. The latest update from the track shows preliminary asphalt testing has begun, under the eye of Tilke Engineers & Architects, builders of many of the tracks on the current F1 calendar. The garages are also getting finished, with insulation and drywall going in and air conditioners being placed. The...
