Say what you may about plug-in electric cars, the 2014 Cadillac ELR unveiled at last week's Detroit Auto Show is a stunning piece of design. The four-seat range-extended electric luxury coupe is little changed from the Cadillac Converj show car that debuted four years ago at the 2009 Detroit show. Its 20-inch wheels are pushed to the outer corners of the wedge shaped coupe, and the plunging window line bears a strong resemblance to the CTS Coupe. The 2014 ELR incorporates Cadillac's CUE touchscreen interface inside, complete with proximity sensing and gesture recognition. Interior materials...

While it was certainly outshone by the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, and even the Ford F-150 Atlas Concept, the 2014 Acura MDX Prototype garnered a notable share of the attention at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. That's remarkable considering the big-name unveilings it was up against, and it perhaps speaks well to Acura's future success with its redesigned full-size crossover. Sporting what Acura calls "Aero Sculpture" design language, the MDX's proportions remain fairly close to the last-generation model, though in every details, and in many of the more important statistics, it's definitely...

Acura is slow-roasting the next-generation NSX to perfection, and if this latest concept is any indication, the wait just might be worth it. While the exterior of this latest concept isn't dramatically different from the previous concept car, there are a few key differences. The lines have been streamlined, the bumpers have been tweaked, and there are some new carbon-fiber exterior trim bits. Most importantly, there's now an interior. We like the plush materials as well as the carbon fiber trim. The overall design is clutter-free, and the shifter has a unique pushbutton design. Acura said...
