Audi has had mixed results with its Super Bowl spots over the years—we’re still trying to forget last year’s Doberhuahua shocker—but this year the automaker looks like it has a hit with Commander. The 60-second ad, which will air during the first quarter of Super Bowl 50, stars the all-new 2017 R8 and also makes a reference to Audi’s efforts in the Google Lunar X Prize.

Audi compares driving the 205-mph supercar to flying to the moon, with a retired astronaut seemingly bored with life suddenly becoming excited again after he’s handed the keys to the car by his son.

Audi also reminds us in the ad that amazing things happen when shooting for the moon. If you recall, the automaker has teamed up with a group of German scientists to develop a lunar rover. The scientists are competing in the Google Lunar X Prize and if all goes to plan will rocket their lunar rover to the moon sometime next year.

As for the new R8 goes, it goes on sale this spring, priced from $164,150, including a $1,250 destination charge.

Super Bowl 50 will see the Carolina Panthers take on the Denver Broncos at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California on Sunday, February 7. You can learn about some of the other Big Game spots by clicking here.
