The 2016 Cadillac CTS-V is a serious performance machine, as Jay Leno discovered while filming the latest episode of his online series Jay Leno’s Garage. On hand to help present the car was Cadillac chief engineer David Leone.
He took Leno through all the intricacies of the car, such as its perfectly formed carbon fiber hood, pizza tray-sized brakes, Recaro bucket seats and electronic limited-slip differential. He also revealed that the CTS-V has a higher top speed than the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, despite having 10 less horsepower.
In case you’ve forgotten, both General Motors Company [NYSE:GM] performance cars feature a supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V-8. The Caddy has a specific output of 640 horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque, which it uses to accelerate to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds.
Pricing for the CTS-V starts at $84,990, including a $995 destination charge.
