It’s not often you see a Koenigsegg go up against a Bugatti Veyron, but what’s even rarer is seeing the boss of one of the supercar brands behind the wheel. In this case it’s Koenigsegg CEO and founder Christian von Koenigsegg, and he’s actually behind the wheel of the Veyron instead of his own CCXR.

The video is from YouTube user Trust and comes to us via the guys at duPont Registry. It was filmed at an old airstrip in Ängelholm, Sweden where Koenigsegg is based and develops all of its cars. What’s most impressive is seeing von Koenigsegg’s head snap back when he floors the Veyron.

The Veyron, as most readers would know, comes with a quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W-16 with 987 horsepower and 922 pound-feet of torque dished out to all four wheels. The CCXR is powered by a supercharged 4.7-liter V-8 designed to run on biofuel. It produces a peak 1,018 hp and 740 lb-ft of torque, and like all Koenigseggs it has rear-wheel drive.
