Justin Bieber is facing a number of serious charges after he was initially stopped early today by police in Miami Beach for alleged drag racing in a Lamborghini Gallardo and later arrested. The charges include drunken driving, resisting arrest and driving without a valid license.

The 19-year-old was booked into a Miami jail where he allegedly made some statements confirming some of the transgressions.

Bieber "made some statements that he had consumed some alcohol, and that he had been smoking marijuana and consumed some prescription medication," Miami Beach police chief Raymond Martinez told CNN.

The bright yellow Gallardo Bieber was driving at the time of his arrest was allegedly seen racing with a red Ferrari. Upon being pulled over, Martinez said that Bieber did not cooperate with the police questioning him. The Ferrari driver, alleged to be an associate of the singer, was also arrested on a drunken driving charge.

The glassy-eyed Canadian is now out on $2,500 bail according to a follow-up report by CNN.

Note, this is just the latest in a number of driving incidents involving the singer. Previously, a paparazzo was struck and killed by a passing motorist while trying to obtain photos of a Ferrari owned by Bieber. Another time, Bieber was cited for speeding in a chrome Fisker Karma he previously owned.
