Sixteen brand new 2012 Fisker Karmas were sitting in Port Newark, New Jersey when Hurricane Sandy hit the shore. The extended-range electric cars were submerged in seawater before catching fire and burning to the ground. While the reason for the fires are unknown, the salty seawater might have caused a short in the cars' electrical system or battery pack.

SEMA is underway and the modified vehicles being shown are being revealed at rapid pace. The Ford Mustang was voted the hottest car at SEMA while the Scion FR-S seems to be everywhere in tuners' booths.
