Maserati is about to embark on an ambitious plan to increase its sales almost 10-fold within the next several years. Key to the plan succeeding is the launch of several higher volume models, including a new SUV that will be based on the Jeep Grand Cherokee and produced at a Chrysler plant just outside Detroit.

Maserati won’t be forgetting its long Italian tradition of designing and constructing some of the finest cars on the planet, however, and to give fans a better understanding of its heritage and operations, the automaker provides exclusive tours of its main facility in Modena, Italy.

For those that can’t make it out to Italy, Maserati has provided the next best thing, a video series that gives us a preview of the official factory tour.

In the two videos below we take a look through the body shop, powertrain facility, test center and finishing department at Maserati’s high-tech Modena facility, giving us an up-close look at the precision, care and craftsmanship that goes into building each of its cars.
