Lamborghini is teasing a new version of its Gallardo supercar, which is scheduled to debut tomorrow at the 2012 Paris Auto Show. The automaker has released this teaser video, which shows the separate components of the new supercar coming together to form the latest special edition.

Together with the video, Lamborghini has mentioned the key word “nova” which suggests the performance of the latest Gallardo variant could be quite explosive.

This is expected to be the last version of the Gallardo before its replacement arrives sometime in the next year or two, so it’s likely it will be the most capable Gallardo we’ve seen yet.

Details gathered from the video include new carbon fiber components, uprated brakes and possibly more lightweight materials. More power could also be drawn from the Gallardo’s V-10 engine, especially now that the car’s R8 cousin is developing upwards of 550 horsepower.

Lamborghini is also celebrating its 50th anniversary next year, so it’s possible this could be a new special edition celebrating the milestone.

Stay tuned for all the live reveals from the 2012 Paris Auto Show tomorrow, including this new Gallardo variant, and remember to keep track of our dedicated show page for all the latest news and photos direct from the show floor.
