Any carmaker worth it's salt has at least one mobile customer information point these days whether an iAd, app or mobile site for customers browsing on the move.

Audi of America knows this, and has updated m.audiusa.com for mobile users to provide them with a new way of accessing information about Audi products and information.

The facelifted site has been optimized for all mobile devices and uses the latest HTML5 technology. Audi says the site is fully interactive and includes downloadable product apps and tools to locate nearby dealers, browse their stock list and schedule test drives.

It's all about making it easier for customers to shop on the move. According to Audi, 41 percent of U.S. internet users shop for autos on their mobile devices, and over 90 percent of Audi buyers have visited the Audi site before handing over the money. Combine the two and the new site should make shopping for an Audi more convenient than ever.

The new site joins several iPad applications freshly launched by Audi for the A6, A7 and A8 models. These apps are available through the Apple iTunes App Store.
