Porsche Cars North America livery for 911 GT3 Cup

Porsche Cars North America, the American arm of the German firm, has picked six employees to crew the effort of a Porsche Carrera World Cup race car to run before this weekend's upcoming Nurburgring 24-hour race. The livery of the car they'll crew was designed by a young intern from the company's Atlanta headquarters.

The race car, a 911 GT3 Cup car, will be piloted by ALMS GTC champion Melanie Snow. The crew for the car was selected based on videos and essays they created to show their passion for motorsports.

The livery, designed by Anna Frey, a recent graduate of Georgia Tech's industrial design program and intern at Porsche North America's Atlanta HQ, features a prominent stars-and-stripes theme, interspersed with sponsor logos and the Porsche Cars North America banner across the doors.

To follow the team's race effort, hit up Porsche's "The Hub" site, where it will be posting videos and photos from the event.
