At this week’s 2016 Detroit Auto Show, we learned that Ford Motor Company’s [NYSE:F] new GT supercar will come with a race mode. Similar to the race mode of the McLaren P1, the special mode on the GT drops the car’s ride height, extends its rear spoiler and no doubt modifies a number of additional chassis systems.

General Motors Company’s [NYSE:GM] European division Opel is set to unveil a new GT concept at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. The concept hasn’t been confirmed for production but if built it will be just the third time there’s been an Opel GT.

We first told you about a new V-16-powered luxury car from American startup Godsil two years ago. We met with founder Jason Godsil recently and learned just what’s up with his V-16 project.
