Koenigsegg is bringing a new, presumably more potent version of its Agera supercar to the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The new version will be called the Agera RS, and it will wear what appears to be one very large wing, based on the latest teaser sketch.

We’re expecting the new Agera RS to be a more extreme version of the Agera R benefiting from technologies developed for the One:1, which is still the world’s most powerful car thanks to its incredible 1,341-horsepower rating. While it's likely the new Agera RS will have more than the 1,140 hp of the Agera R, we're not expecting it to eclipse the output of the One:1 just yet.

Recently, an Agera R sporting some modifications lifted from the One:1, like the latter’s more aerodynamically-shaped side mirrors, was spotted testing at the Nürburgring. Engineers were pushing the car so hard that they eventually crashed.

Why were they pushing it so hard? Because the Swedish supercar manufacturer is aiming to set a new production car lap record for the ‘Ring, a record that currently stands at 6:57, as set by the Porsche 918 Hybrid in 2013.

The Geneva Motor Show doesn't get underway until March 3, but in the meantime you can see what else will be present by visiting our dedicated hub -- and be sure to check out Koenigsegg's upcoming "megacar", the Regera.
