Lexus’ new RC coupe hasn’t even gone on sale yet but already it’s spawned a high-performance RC F variant. The RC F makes its debut next week at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show and is destined to be one of the last luxury coupe’s powered by a naturally-aspirated V-8.

Another V-8 coupe that’s rumored to be set for a debut in Detroit is the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT, which will offer a new supercharged V-8 nicknamed the Hellcat. The new engine will develop in excess of 600 horsepower and may end up in other SRT models.

One of the most popular teams from the Gumball 3000 rally is hoping to outdo its performance in last year’s rally with an assortment of new cars. One of these will be an updated version of their Tumbler Batmobile. Yes, someone was crazy enough to build one.

You'll find all of this and more in today's car news headlines from around the High Gear Media network, right here at Motor Authority.
