Scion is looking to inject a bit of luxury into its lineup. Not a ton, mind you, but enough to entice a few buyers to step up and snag one of two limited-edition models the automaker is going to offer. It's called the Monogram Series, and it will be available on the Scion FR-S and the tC.

We said it's going to be a limited run and we mean it, as Scion will produce just 2,000 FR-S and 2,500 tC examples in this new series.

So should you scoop one up? Let's see what you're getting.

The FR-S receives leather seats with Alcantara inserts (the front units are also heated), dual-zone climate control, and push-button start. Additional features include the BeSpoke premium audio system with navigation, a frameless rearview mirror, and heated outside mirrors.

Speaking of the outside, the FR-S Monogram Series boasts HID headlamps with LED daytime running lights, and it can be painted in any color that Scion currently offers for the coupe. It won't hurt your wallet either, with an MSRP of $27,400 for the manual and $28,500 for the automatic gearbox. That's not far off the well-equipped price of the FR-S anyway, so why not opt for some luxe options and a limited-edition vehicle.

The tC version gets some of the same options as the FR-S, including the Alcantara inserts, heated front seats, and premium audio. It is priced to move at $21,400 and $22,400 for the manual and automatic versions, respectively.
