Porsche’s new Macan crossover is set for its debut at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show at the end of the year but shortly after we should see the debut of its high-performance variant, the Macan Turbo, which we recently spotted testing in Europe.

This time the vehicle was wearing the least camouflage gear yet, allowing us to see its unique design elements such as the ‘C-Blade’ air intake, which Porsche has said will be a feature on its future models.
This is probably the best photo of the upcoming Macan Turbo. It shows that Porsche is keen to further differentiate its performance models from the regular line. Prototypes of a regular Macan testing alongside this Macan Turbo aren’t wearing the new C-Blades and get normal round exhaust pipes instead of the square units fitted on Porsche’s ‘Turbo’ range.
This svelte-looking machine is a new sports car being developed by Lucra. It is actually the second model from the American sports car startup and promises to deliver 0-60 mph times in under 3.0 seconds and reach top speeds in excess of 186 mph.
Lamborghini has confirmed plans to unveil a new supercar at next month’s 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show but it isn’t the long-overdue Gallardo successor but rather another special version of the aging Gallardo. As much as we love the Gallardo, we’re ready to see some new metal but, as this photo shows, the new Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse is certainly no disappointment.

Ford will enter the Dakar Rally next year with a brand new rally machine based on its Ranger pickup, currently offered overseas. It’s a shame the Blue Oval isn’t using its awesome F-150 SVT Raptor but at least this Ranger rally machine is packing a 5.0-liter V-8 sourced from a Mustang GT.

The BMW i3 was finally revealed this week, and although it’s not the prettiest vehicle its tech is pretty cool and there is a lot of significance surrounding it. The first examples land in showrooms early next year and will be priced from $41,350 plus $925 in destination fees.

Last Sunday saw Porsche 911s of all varieties descend upon the Silverstone race track in England and in the process set a new Guinness World Record. The gathering was part of Porsche’s 50th anniversary celebration for the 911 this year.
