Only last week we brought you details about a new watch from Hublot celebrating Ferrari’s new LaFerrari supercar. Now we have the first image and details of another Ferrari-brand watch, this time celebrating the Prancing Horse’s motorsport division, Scuderia Ferrari.

The new watch is the first from the Scuderia Ferrari Orologi line of watches designed for both men and women, and it was revealed for the time at the 2013 Baselworld watch and jewelry show currently taking place in Switzerland.

The line is inspired by the intricate design details found on the Scuderia Ferrari racing cars, particularly those competing in Formula One, and include such details as scratch-resistant sapphire crystal surfaces, advanced composite construction and Swiss-made movements.

The watches also pay tribute to the Ferrari racing team’s signature color, by including super luminous red dial accents which, the designers claim, enhances readability in low-light conditions.

Even the names of the watches are inspired by motorsport. The line includes the Pit Crew, Lap Time, Race Day, Paddock, Scuderia, and Heritage watches.

The Scuderia Ferrari Orologi line of watches will be sold globally through select wholesale distribution outlets, as well as in Ferrari retail stores and the Ferrari online store.

Also showcased at the Baselworld event was the Scuderia Ferrari Gran Premio Worldtime Limited Edition Automatic, which will debut this fall in a special issue of 100 pieces. Powered by a self-winding mechanical movement, it is designed with a unique time zone display featuring Ferrari’s headquarters in Maranello and seven famous Grand Prix race locations: Barcelona, Abu Dhabi, Sepang, Shanghai, Yeongam, Melbourne and Sao Paulo.
